Review of the life and times of Joe Darby. Born August 6th 1861in Windmill End, he went on to become the Champion All-Round Spring Jumper of the World. His jumps were astonishing, taken from a standing position, with only the help of two weights in either hand to give him momentum. Quite surprisingly he was able to jump over ten chairs in a row, and could clear a full sized Billiard Table from a standing position!
