Round Oak Iron and Steel Works

The site of the Earl of Dudley's Round Oak works, built in 1857, was used for large scale iron working from 1784. Nicknamed "The Earls", its high output did much to sustain the Black Country's reputation for quality iron. Now levelled, the site adjoins Merry Hill shopping centre.
