Recruitment poster for soldiers during World War One, usually handed out in the street or pasted on hoardings in local towns. Believed to date from 1915, it gives a good insight into the early years of the war effort, before conscription was introduced in 1916. Henry Newbolt, quoted at the beginning, was actually born in Bilston.
